deuce, sorry, not familiar with either pedal. but here is some [hopefully useful] input, including vids: www.google.com/#q=bd2+vs+od3on the pretty rare occasion i use a pedal other than delay, i like EHX english muff'n. swapped out the 12AY7's that were issued with used mullard pullouts, 12AU7 in V1 and 12AT7 in V2. now it works good as a 3 band EQ, and clean boost also. helps brighten up some darker [bass voiced] clones i had built from olde school circuits. can now even serve up more low volume "shimmer" in my 6L6 victorilux 310, which wasn't lacking any in that department to begin with. i don't often use it for drive/dirt. would say that it is voiced very much like the T,M,B pre circuit from an AC 30 top boost amp. so you have to decide if that will fit your needs. at this time of year, in this particularity slow economy, you should be able to score a used one for just a little bit more than $100 used if you shop around. rated 4.8 [out of five] in 41 reviews here: www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/electro-harmonix-classics-english-muffn-overdrive-guitar-effects-pedalmitchfit

Looks good zak. Only thing about artisan effects is that they are a bit of a dark horse. Thanks for the link mitchfit - I'll keep an eye out on it. TT

I've done the Monte Alums mods on a couple of BD2s and there's a subtle but well worth while difference for not a lot of brass.
