Hello to all members Let me introduce myself I'm a new member, 52 or so, living in germany nearby hannover. I beg forgiven if my english is not the best at time, but I'm not to old to learn. usually I play on my Rozawood RB (in sunburst-i love it) some stuff like rags and blues or slide on my Continental tricone, but sometimes, like this morning, I pack out my old yamaha fg2500 12string 1972 to imitate the sound of leo kottke. 2 years ago I joint a country group with my squareneck but after some time I got an aversion on playing country with my Regal. I'm a carpenter and do most setup on guitars by myself. Actually I'm looking for a singlecone to replace my cheap johnson. maybe a mm lightning from buskers or a simatone. A style O would unfortunately not agree with my budget because my two daugthers like shopping too I also join the Fingerpickerforumbtw: some soundclips by me are here

Thomas, Welcome to the forum. This is a very friendly community and a great place to learn and share ideas about resonators and blues guitar in general. Don't worry, your English is much much better than my German

Hi Thomas.
Welcome to the Forum. Hoping all is fine with you and family.
An MM Lightening or MM Blues, both really nice resonators and really nice prices. There is an MM Lightening on 'Tin Can Alley' on this web sight, it is for sale. Take a look.
Take care and very best wishes. Look forward to your input on the forum.
Regards.

Hello, I too am a new member joined about ten minutes ago! I've been playing on and off for about 20 years (more off than on)In the last year I started to realy get back into playing and wanted to learn slide as it's something I've always loved. However my wife and I have recently had our first child so I don't realy get much time to play, not that I'm complaining. I do however suffer from GAS in the hope that it'll improve my playing. Almost in a position financially to buy a MM Blues 12 fret, as soon as I've got all the pennys I'll hopefully be placing an order.
Regards.

Hello to Thomas, I (like Keith) am also a carpenter. You should think of making a resonator guitar, of converting a `normal` guitar to a resonator. there are several on the forum who have done this. PT
Hi jreading, if you are near Cambridge , you may like to go to one of the blues jams that go on here. Tuesday (9.00-11.30 at the Earl of Beaconsfield Mill Rd) Sunday (8.30-11.00 also at the Earl of Beaconsfield)

I've heard about the Earl of Beaconsfield. Didn't they recently have a Cigar box festival? I also know they have Iron Maiden Trooper ale on tap. will definately have to check the place out.

welcome aboard. good people here willing to help with many different ideas/inquiries you my have.
..."I beg forgiven if my english is not the best at time, but I'm not to old to learn."...
don't sweat it. i was born and raised in an english speaking country, but have no doubts that many may find my english language skills odd, at best.
