I may be entering into a trade for my "28 Squareneck triplate. I've never been wild about those later headstocks. The biscuit is obviously been changed, wonder about the cone. What's up with all the extra holes up around the f-holes? I'm sure it probably had a pickguard originally, but does that explain the 4 extra holes?

YIKES! just noticed the "black bar" at the end of the fretboard. How'd I not see that the 1st time?! If that's a cut out from a pick-up, it's definitely a deal killer....

Yeah, like I said, hole for the pick-up is a definite deal killer. Other than that it's clean and he has the original cone and biscuit. I much prefer the earlier, 12 fret, slot head, flat f-hole with the ribbed coverplate look (late '32 early '33?) though. Haven't seen many like this, gotta be one of the last few they made....
If the price was right and the sound was amazing, I could live with it. But this guy is thinking it's worth 3,500-4000 USD!
