So I've had this notion rattling around in my noggin that I should stick to one scale length (my resonator and main electric guitar are both 24 3/4"), in order to best facilitate consistent, accurate intonation in my slide playing.
Whadda y'all think? True or False?

Hi Jeeb,
I have been through that one myself and think it is not true >it's FALSE!

I have guitars with 24 3/4, 25 1/2, 25, 27, 24 and a few between, and have no problem going from one guitar to another. Problems happen when I forget I`m on the 27" and try my normal chord shapes. PT Let your ears do most of the work.

I have different lenghts on my "slide guitars" and donĀ“t see any problem with intonation.A direct swap between them may take a sec to get right.

No problem, stop worrying and play more.

Yay for 'false'! Yeah, that particular notion would've been mighty inCORNvenient if true.
Especially since from what I've seen so far I would have a heck of a time finding a 24 3/4" tricone resonator, and I do now lusteth after a tricone.

I would have to put myself in the false camp on this one.

Correct intonation come from ears .Listen carefully when you play bottleneck do not worry about scale length.
