Hi everyone, I thought this might be of interest and as we don't allow advertising, I have posted this as a news item about John's new album. This is from John's website.... Folks, this album is so much a dream coming true for me, nothing less!!! During November and December 2012 me and some friends recorded new material, my own stuff and some old blues classics in our rendition! I'm in the company of my excellent blues buddies who plays various instruments creating a nice mix of acoustic blues.
Back in the summer of 1999 I first heard Eric Bibb’s album “Spirit & The Blues”, released on Opus 3 Records, and it totally and utterly changed the way I look upon and perform music. Everything I did turned acoustic and I’ve stayed in the acoustic blues realm ever since. Now being a recording artist on the Opus 3 Records label is something I’m extremely happy, thankful and proud about. From the very first meeting with Opus 3's Jan-Eric Persson when we met to discuss this album, we got along really well. And as we both are profoundly interested in the history of the music and the various instruments that you’ll hear on this record, there’ll be a lot of info and photo’s showing guitars in this booklet. The CD booklet has a lot of info on 16(!) pages, text and images. You'll see if you get a copy, haha!!I wish John lots of success with his new album. Shine On Michael

Oh Michael, thank you so much for spreading the word!! I'm a happy man right now, Opus 3 has been the label I've been actually dreaming about for many years now.. To be asked to record for them was mindblowing, I almost ran my car off the road when I realized who was on the phone. (Yes, in Sweden it's still legal to use the phone in the car..) It's like things coming full circle since I set out on my acoustic journey because of an Opus3 release, haha! Hope you get a chance to listen sometime.

Thanks, I love their sound too. Proud to be apart of it now, Daddyslide! The sound is insane, for real.. It sounds just like the musicians are playing in the very room one listens in?!

John's Opus 3 disc has been in heavy rotation on my car stereo for a couple of weeks now. It is a typical Bottleneck John performance, which is to say superb, very toe tapping and authentic sounding. He must have grown up in Mississippi, right? The sound quality is really super and I have yet to take it in the house and hear the Super Audio CD layer! Highly recommended.
