Hey folks, got an old and early National Duolian from '31 with some bad problems. A friend of mine ( resonatorman from the forum here ) and I made a project. We made a neck reset, put a new bridge on it, restore the cone. Another problem the guitar had: she had no laquore on it anymore - only blank steel. So we decide to grind all the tarnished and rusty parts and paint it a new color - and the color, we decide, was RAl 1015 - the german Taxi color ;-) Now, this duo could survive the next 81 years without any problem. Here are some pics of the new restored one. NOW, she really sounds and plays great. A lot of work, but it works great! I hope you had fun, Jan

Hi Jan,
Your Duolian looks great. The new colour makes it look more like a Collegian than a Duolian. I like it.
Nice job! Thanks for posting the photos.
For the last few weeks I have been using the light-weight GS slide you sent me. I have used it on all my gigs, it sounds and feels really good!
Shine On Michael.
