Hi, anybody know anything about RKR Fryingpan guitars. I have searched the net and cant find anything. There is an 8string in an auction near me & I dont know what to bid on it. any info would be of help. All the best Chris

I never heard of that brand, all I can tell is Jan van der Donck ("steelguitar-bouw") in Netherlands made them too (made of aluminium with the horse-shoe repro) 6,7 and 8 stringer are in the 600/800 euros range as I remember. And very well built rugged guitars.

No its not a Rikenbacker frying pan, its a quality repro( cast body, with 8 strings )

Hi Chris,
I have kept out of this thread because I don't really know about RKR steel guitars.
I think I have seen a few, because I think Gerry Hogan used to sell them at his steel guitar shop in Newbury. I am going back 15 to 20 years or so, but that is where I think I have seen them.
If the guitars I saw at Gerry's shop were RKR Frypans, they are very good instruments.
