Thinking about a Roland Cube Street or a Roland AC33. I like the battery option and the channel for instrument + a channel for voice/mic. Anyone using one? Other suggestions?

You might want to check differences in the dial settings where the jc clean and others are - I noticed that there are acoustic A and B - or 2 acoustic settings on the Roland Street. There's just one on the microcube. I like the street and might upgrade, haven't tried the other. I was checking out an electric.
I don't know if it the correct amp for a res - I use a shure mic and input into the computer, when I tried the roland with a Martin it seemed like it was not for an acoustic
I wonder if a fishman mini loudbox or othermade for acoustics would do better.
Peace, Harriet

Yeah, they are definitely better, but they don't offer battery power portability. The Roland AC series does sounds really good tho. I have a friend who busks with a street cube and his National sounds really great thru it, especially for being outside. He plugs his Duolian into the amp and sets it on the Mic setting instead of the acoustic setting. He uses a Highlander PU. From what I understand, it's basically 2 micro cubes, with XLR inputs on the one side for using a Mic. My NRP actually sounds decent thru my Micro Cube.

Hi Gaucho, I looked but it says they are in Maine? I'm going to check out the mic setting on that though on an acoustic. next time I go to Sam Ash. Thanks for the tip.
I am getting a Minolian woodbody with a National cone (!) but didn't opt for a pickup for financial/practical reasons. I decided awhile back for going out if I were to amp I would take my cheap Les Paul 11 and Roland Microcube It'd be easier to replace than a custom set up resonator that I'd fussed over, if it were to be ripped off. I was thinking a cigarbox originally but I think had some concerns about it being attractive to be ripped off as well. The street value of a Les Paul 11 is not going to be that much.
Peace, Harriet

I was wondering if you ever got a CBG. I recently scored a Daddy Mojo 6 string and it's absolutely awesome. I like it so much, I sold my MIM Telecaster. I really like the tele, but couldn't get used to all radius on the neck. I know it's mostly short-comings in my technique, but I found it really hard to play slide when I was grabbing multiple strings. Single string runs and double stops were fine fine, but anything else was too inconsistent. The Daddy NJ has very little radius.

Hi, the best mobile axcoustic amp I have used is an AER copact mobile but that being said it is four times the price of the Roland ( around £1000 over here)
