Well done Michael and Ed for a great show last night. I wasn't expecting that my favourite bits would be the laptop hawaiian / country numbers - most excellent (as was the rest of it). Thanks also for bringing the M32 and letting me have a quick strum on it - I have a new favourite now. BTW do you think there is room in the show to talk a bit more about the guitars? Cheers, TT

A superb performance from Michael and Ed and an inspiration to all us would be slide guitarists. It was noticeable how favourably the MM Blues compared with the other instruments Michael used. Also good to meet forum members Deuce and Ian again. Nick

Thanks TT and Nick, your kind words mean a lot to me. It was great to see you too.
TT, I do often talk about the guitars and get into more chat between the songs, but I have just been through a difficult week having lost one of my oldest and dearest friends and attended his funeral on Friday. I just put my head down and played as much music as I could in the two sets. It is a great room and with such an attentive audience, both Ed and I really enjoyed playing. I do believe that the listeners are as important as the musicians.
Nick, I know it probably sounds like an advert coming from me, but I agree with you about how well the MM machine holds up alongside my other guitars. Nothing has been done to that guitar. I have had it for two years and never even set it up, it is still exactly as it was set up in China. I keep it mostly in open E tuning with MM 15/56 strings and it sounds great.
Shine On Michael.

The High Barn venue looks like a great place, hope the gig went well. Any news on the France dates in April? It'd be good to see you here in Lyon...

Hi Gordon,
The High Barn gig was a great night - pretty much sold out and we had a ball! It is such a beautiful venue, and with an excellent PA system and sound crew.
No news on the French tour dates yet.
Thanks for asking,
Shine On Michael.

This poster was just sent to me..... A great evening of acoustic blues in late July. All artists are billed equally. There will be solo sets, duos, and maybe even a band. Euro Blues members will know about these gigs, but if you are not a Euro Blues member and live in or within reach of Northampton, come on down! Shine On Michael Attachments:
