I know this has been talked about on the forum some time ago. After years of tuning my guitars using Harmonicas and an E tuning fork I finally invested in one of these things . It is terrific for tuning the guitar , I thought my ear was quite good but this makes the guitar sound so sweet , so easy to use as well ........ it makes it a breeze tuning resos and weissenborns. For anyone interested who orders gear fromThomann they are knocking them out for 11 quid , well worth it . Regards an in- tune Growler

Snark tuners are very good. I have the red one which is an all instrument tuner. They are very easy to see in dark conditions and more responsive than any other clip-on tuner on the market, apart from the Peterson clip-on strobo Clip, which is by far the best, most accurate and most expensive (approx' £60) clip-on tuner. Shine On Michael.

What are these tuners like on low notes? I remember Honeyboy observing in a recent thread that most clip-ons were not good at picking up the low notes, particularly on resonator guitars. Michael agreed at the time and this has certainly been my experience with the ezetune ez100. Fortunately Michael's reply at the time helped me out, it was to use the harmonics.

I've had lots of clip on tuners. The red Snark I bought recently. is the best so far. It even detects the low notes on my Baritone Resonator tuned to low E spanish a treat.

I'll let you know what I find.

Well, after the comments on here, I had to get the red one.
AT LAST!!!!!!!! , a tuner that picks up low notes at a good price,is easy to use, can be positioned so that you can read it easily, and is quick and accurate!
I have been using the Intellitouch PT2 for a couple of years, (like an idiot I didn't get the one with the backlight) which was probably twice the price and isn't even half as good.
What a surprise these days to get something cheaper than the competition that works better!
Thanks to Michael and all for the heads up.
Frank

My mate Phil brought one back from a recent US trip and I thought h'mmm, might be useful. Mine just arrived this morning - love it already, but the colour means I'm going to have to change ALL my stage outfits!! More gigs, please....
Cheerily,
Gerry C
