I finally figured out how to make a YouTube video of my resolectric. Some of you said you wanted to hear it. Sorry for the poor quality of the picture and sound, but I just have a cheap little digital camera. Anyway, here you go.

Sounds very authentic. The sound quality actually adds to that in a good way. Beats the new National RA 3 by a country mile. It would no doubt sound excellent through a big PA as well.
Great job!

Daddyslide, I just bought a piezo element at Radio Shack (intended to be a buzzer for electronic projects) for about $2.00. I removed the element from the plastic housing it came in and so I had a round disc about 1 inch in diameter. I glued it with Super Glue to the cone (just south of the biscuit, towards the tailpiece) and wired it directly to the jack. I use an ART preamp, which has a small tube in it. I really like them and they only cost about $30. The only bad thing about the ART is that there is no on/off switch. You have to unplug it to turn it off.
Anyway, that's what I did, and I think it's great bang for the buck. I suppose someone could put an on-board preamp in it if they wanted, but I prefer the versatility of choosing my preamp and not filling the interior of my guitar with any more electronics than I have to.
I might also mention that I was doing this on a shoestring budget, so that is an inexpensive Asian cone in it. I'm sure it would sound even better with a bone nut, a Beard or National cone, and good tuning pegs.

I did the same Radio Shack Piezo tab thing in one of my Stellas. Pluged into my Roland mini-cube it sounds awesome! Cost a total of $5!

I have a lap guitar I've been working on for years that I might actually finish up, and there is a ukulele I want to resofy. But the priority project is another solidbody resonator guitar. Someone who saw my video has commissioned me to built them one.
