This reminds me of Kwame/Kiko by Martin Taylor. I can't find a Youtube link but it is on the "Guitar Nights" DVD by the Four Martins. Raw Talent!

I just found this clip of Bob Brozman.Actually there's loads of stuff. At the risk of being hung, drawn and quartered by the reso community, there is something I find just "unmusical" about Bob Brozman's performance. Technically excellent - it just feels to me like he plays from the head not the heart - soul is not cognitive. He plays the blues like he is in a permanent existential crisis! Not to my taste at all Amazing playing to me is watching an artist who does the simple things really, really well. Here is a blues player who knows how to handle his own existential crisis. Oh yes, and he can sing too Robin

Oh I can't imagine anyone rushing to string you up any time soon Robin! I wouldn't actually even entirely disagree with you either.I watched a few pieces by Bob Brozman last night and a couple of interviews and yes he does seem to get a tad on the over complicated side to say the least, and having listened to him talk, yes completely off on one at times but I think he means it! He's certainly opinionated anyway. But listening to him talk he seems to say what you say about heart and head, and yet yer man above, Eric Bibb has got it in spade fulls, simplicity and heart. If I had to be stranded on a desert island I'd rather it was with Bibb than Bob no question.Actually, thinking about it I'd prefer Helena Bonham Carter.I don't know if she can play a guitar but I'll for give her! Brozman is someone i could take in small doses. I don't know much about music but it seems to me he's not essentially a bluesman pure and simple anyway.Seems to have gone of at a few tangents to say the least!
