Hi, has anybody had a case made for them by Pegasus Cases?
I ask because I need a case for the L & H Parlour guitar and Hiscox cases are too large. Calton cases use the small classical shell which means the case is far bigger than the guitar which somewhat defeats the point of having a very small guitar.
Pegasus are not cheap, but if they are good the investment may be worthwhile.
Thanks

Hi Barry,
The ONLY case in my opinion worth paying big money for is a Calton. The classical case is perfect for a parlour guitar. I have seen many parlour guitars in Caltons and the extra padding gives them an amazing amount of protection. No other fibreglass case is built like a Calton.
I have owned one of the cases you are asking about.

Barry, you won't regret it. They are expensive, but they are THE best. I have six Caltons, my first one is still in use after 20 or so years being checked into airports whenever I fly. It is still as strong as it was the day I bought it.
I have known Keith Calton for many years, but I don't have any business connections with Calton Cases.
Shine On Michael.

Barry, I'll give a thumbs up for Caltons too. I have four. They are all excellent and near bomb-proof. I bought my first one in 1980. It's as good as new (although the modern handle is an improvement!) Make sure you're sitting down when you come to contemplate the price, but find comfort in the fact that the Canadian licensed Caltons are significantly dearer still! Keith is a gent. He custom fitted my Gordon Smith Gypsy 1 case while I waited. Get ready to make many measurements unless your instrument is very standard such as a dreadnought.

Thanks again for the info. I am persuaded and will order a Calton very soon.

On the subject of cases - has any one shipped their guitars in a container with the rest of thier house hold stuff - i.e. moving to another country? If so did you just use standard cases?
