Hi, I seem to remember there being a thread about where in the world board members live, though I can't find it through the search feature. Anyhow I have created a Google Earth (GE) file (.KML) of my location (and Pocklington, Bromsgrove and Nothampton Uni). Does anyone else want to add their (general) location? If so PM or email me. I don't want to fall foul on the DPA so no uniquely identifiable information please, Just username, postcode, town and country should be enough for our purposes. The postcode is only required so GE can find the long/lat co-ordinates. It won't be published in the KML file You can get the KML file by clicking HERE to load the page and then by right clicking on the"Download file" link and selecting "save link as" (or whatever you usual browser/OS combination calls it). Then open the file in Google Earth and Robert's your father's brother. Just though it might be fun to know where other board members are. Cheers

Hi Ken,
This thread slipped by without me noticing it. I have just tried to follow your instructions, but my MAC cannot make sense of the downloaded file, or I am not doing it properly?

Michael, sorry you are having problems. Should "just work", but... I'm currently en-route to the (Thames) Delta for a funeral, but while i'm down there i'll check it out. My son-in-law is another ponytail with a Mac i'll get back to you, though probably not 'till Thursday. I've already got another board member to add to the map, i'll do that at the same time TTFN

Michael, sorry for the delay in replying. I checked this out on mu SiL's Mac. I've modified the file and the link is now... HERE. Click on the above link and once the page has loaded right click on the "download file" link. Select "save external link as...". Choose a file name and end with ".kml". For some reason the Mac (or at least the one I was using) lost the filetype suffix and suggested ".jpg"! Anyway if you save with the .kml filetype the file will open/load Google Earth OK. Any probs let me know and i'll get back to you, though am off to Wales for a week in the morning and not sure when i'll get a signal.
