Fellas, I'm tearing my hair out here. I need a luthier who can fix a couple of intonations issues, and clean up or replace a pick guard on previously restored mid-1930's L-00 - not much to ask really! Just don't trust anyone I've checked out so far. Too many enthusiasts - not enough pros anymore.... Any suggestions gratefully received

There are many luthiers out there, some are great and some not so great. If you want a recommendation from me, the only person in the UK I can recommend, that I know, to do a good job on your antique Gibson is Dave King. There are obviously others, but to recommend someone that I can guarantee will do a good job I have to give you someone that I can be sure of.
(I should add that I have no business or personal connection with Dave King).
Let us know who you decide to go to and how you get on.
Shine On Michael.
