One of those events that gladdens the spirit:
My lovely 1936 Duolian acquired a nasty buzzing sound that just wouldn't go away despite several attempts to slacken off and re tighten the strings. Took it to Dave King's new super sized workshop yesterday, where he did a while you wait repair. I fully expected him to condemn the old cone, (which was disintegrating around the rim) and recommend a new one. But with the help of some super glue and an hour of his expertise we ended up with a really strong original cone!. My guitar is now sounding and playing better than ever.
I have to say that it's a real pleasure to deal with someone who isn't out solely to sell you something new, but happy to restore an old National.
Thanks Dave, where would we be without you?
