I just found a plastic "Flamingo" soprano ukulele. I got it cheap because it has issues. I'm going to resofy this bad boy with mini angelfood cake mold. The mold is...I kid you not...spun aluminum and rings like a bell. This time around, I'm going to try to make some sort of spider bridge for it. What will it sound like? Who knows? Who cares? It's going to be fun no matter what and can't sound much worse than the original. If it doesn't work out, I'm only out $7.50. I'll keep you posted.

Man, that is genius! This is a whole new world of alternative reso cones just waiting to be forced into sad unloved instruments: cooksdream.com/store/be1.html

Eastmountain, you don't give up do you! I look forward to hearing your Flamingo Angelfood resonator uke. I love that plastic, it is beautiful. I have a few ukes like that.
