He sings well, plays a mean guitar and also plays rack harp whilst sliding: I've never got the hang of that! Check out the man his mom calls Kevin Moore...

I've got a couple of his albums. My favourite is "Keep it Simple", blues for a new era. I had a Keb' Mo' Mudslide (bottleneck) but it got lost at Pocklington last year.

Everything I've heard Keb Mo do I have enjoyed. He is an excellent musician and great song writer. I know what you mean about playing harp and slidin' Gerry Have you heard "Am I wrong" by Keb Mo? It is a simple 12 bar slide riff - and singing the song itself is also really simple. BUT singing the words and playing tune together is a complete nightmare Have a go at this yourself: You have just got to get that grove going before you start playing just to stand a chance!!!!! I saw Jeff Beck and Tom Jones have a go at this Keb Mo song and they kept cocking up the groove - even though one was singing and one playing guitar If there was a Grade 8 slidin' and singing exam then this would be the test piece Robin

Hi Robin,
Thanks for this, thought it was just me! This is a really great grove, and agree it is simple, which is why I had it on my list, but when up to speed the I found the timing is really tough.
I had a go at this when I first started sliding, maybe time to have another go.
On Keb Mo, yeah, great. Love his blues version of America the Brave.
Cheers
Mel
