Picked up this little guitar after the Texas Steel Guitar Show. Serial number 001. It's all solid wood, 23 inch scale, has lots of sustain and volume, and the perfect size for my 4 year old boy! That was my excuse for buying another guitar... It's made in the UK and very well built. Kevin Brown showed me a new Hawaiian number on it and I could not resist buying the guitar. What's truly different is that it can be tuned several frets up so that you don't step on others in a crowd. It stands out. Anyway... I have not bought a new guitar in several years and just had to share this with all those sliding "lappers" Michael has attracted to the forum. Come to Texas Michael and give her a spin!!! I'm stoked;-)

Hi Eric,
That is a VERY cool little guitar. No wonder you are stoked! I hope to get to TeXas and try it out someday
I see that your choice of own brand Tribotone bar is a red one.
Shine On Michael.

That's my little boys red Tribo-Tone bar... and he is very proud of it! He picked the color, helped me build it, and put his initials on the end. He's learning to strum and slide- and can strum and slide a wonderful octave. Fret marker 1 to octave fret marker 1, fret marker 2 to octave 2, ect. His task is to get a good strum, a smooth slide, and keep an accurate position above the frets. He's only 3 and a half years old!!! This little guitar is perfect for him as well as myself. I think I may loose ownership soon as he often refers to the Bristolian now as "his guitar." [laughter] It's wonderful! Kevin Brown developed this technique for teaching very young people. He gave him a lesson or two as described above and we practice whenever we can.
