Hi Trash, There's a lot to be said for the 'buy a cheap wooden guitar, jack up the action and get going approach' advocated above. But, speaking as a person with permanent 'guitar acquisition syndrome', I know that I would find it hard to take that route if I were in your shoes; I would want to buy a resonator, however much my better judgment said not to.
If you do decide to go the cheap resonator route I suspect you could hardly do better than Wolvoboy's offer. The best way to improve a cheap resonator (apart from ensuring it is set up properly) is to upgrade the cone(s) and he has already done that for you, saving you at least £50, so it sounds as though you would be getting a lot of guitar for £150. And, he's near enough for you to go and try it out before you buy, which is a massive bonus. To me it sounds like a no brainer compared to the Vintage or the cracked Ozark.
Don't get too hung up on wooden or metal bodies. Lots of wonderful old bluesmen played both at different stages of their musical lives. Michael Messer plays mostly wooden bodies and gets a delta sound out of them. If I were you I would be beating a path to Wolvoboy's door and asking him to show you what his upgraded Ozark tricone is capable of - I bet you won't walk away empty handed.

Hi Everyone.... Just to say, thanks for the posts here, the advice, and the messages you sent.
Firstly - What a great helpful bunch of people u are on this forum.
Secondly - I bought a guitar and have been tryin to play slide - great fun.
I couldnt decide what to do, Wolvoboys sounded great... so not sure if i did the right thing.. but I went and bought something else. I eventually got an Ozark 3515N. I think i got a bargain £150 with hard case, and the guy also gave me a stand, a mandolin, a gig bag for the mandolin, a harmonica, some picks and 5 cds.
Now I gotta learn the mandolin aswell as the slide.
Anyway, Im lovin the guitar - but im findin it a difficult style to master.
Thanks all for ur help
