I have two gigs this weekend in the fair town of Otley. On Friday 26th I'm the support act for a rather good duo called Travelin' Riverside at Korks in Bondgate: should be a good night. However, on Saturday 27, some mates and I are playing in The Manor House, Walkergate, Otley, to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. This service regularly saves people's lives yet is wholly dependent on charitable support: it requires £7200 PER DAY to keep the choppers flying and helping folks.
It would be great to see any fellow coneheads at either or both gigs!
Cheerily,
Gerry C
PS According to the promo stuff for the Friday gig, I play a National steel guitar! News to me, but perhaps they may donate one to me... ;D

Great stuff Gerry. A good cause.
We shiny tin guitar players are in a slightly better position than we were twenty years ago. At least they called your guitar a National steel, which is what it looks like to the untrained eye. Twenty years ago they would have written that you play a Dobro like Mark Knopfler's one. One well known journalist who will remain nameless wrote that I was very kind to lend Mark Knopfler my Dobro!
Shine On Michael.

Hope they go well.
