Hi
Not to be confused with the other Half Moon. I am starting a bi-week;y acoustic night at this very music friendly pub on Sunday 21st February.
The idea is to have one or two guest acts with me being the host, compare. fill in etc. If we have one guest there will be an open mic session early, or a jam session later.
I am asking if anybody wants to come and do a guest spot one Sunday evening. There is unlikely to be any fee, but it can go down on your CV.
Guest spots will be appx 45 mins.
The music will be a mix of blues, folk, indie and indeed 'whatever' as long it is only amplified by my Bose PA, which I will use there. I shall aim for variety and high quality.
If interested please send me a PM or even better email me from my website.
Many Thanks.

A very late reminder that the first Acoustic Night at the Half Moon Harrow is tomorrow. Starts at about 8.30. Free. My Bose will be there as I think will my GP who plays a mean guitar!
Tomorrow will start as an open mic and then we'll see. Subsequent events will likely be an open mic sandwich, with one or two longer sets as the filling.
Do come if you can and it is Free.

A very good and successful evening with me and Gary taking turns to please a small but very responsive audience.
The pub manager was pleased and she is the important person.
Thanks Gary for coming!!!!!
Next one in 2 weeks, March 7th I think. Come on down and play through a Bose for no fee!!

The second gig here is on Sunday 7th. This should be a good evening and I expect 7 or 8 performers and plenty of audience.
If your in NW London on Sunday evening you'll be welcome at the Half Moon from 8pm. They serve good Fullers London Pride.

Tonight Sunday 21st March.
Gary Smith blues. A young lady singer and pianist playing various covers. Local to the pub and booked on Thursday. Also probable are a duo playing guitar covers. Again local and again booked on Thursday.
For all but me and Gary, I am sorry but I forget your names. But you are all good at what you do which is the point of the evening.
I shall play some blues and some rock stuff with maybe a bit of folk if the need arises.

Hi Al
Sound clips are hard as I run this on my own and wouldn't have time to record anything, let alone trust my deck with some of the weirdos there! Photos are easier except that the photographer has become ill and has not been there for a while.
Sorry!!!

Another session tomorrow night Sunday 18th. Easy to get to from South Harrow Tube by turning right out of the station and walking 10-15 minutes up the hill. Bus from Harrow-on-the-Hill to South Harrow police Station.
It's always a good night.

Due to problems at the Half Moon a new initially 2 weekly open mic and longer session evening will be held at the Woodman PH, Joel Road, Eastcote, LB Hillingdon.
It has a bIg car park, local minicab, 282 bus links to 2 stations on the London Transport Met Line. There is a very good in house PA system and the landlord is a fine musician himself.
If you are thinking of coming please send me a PM.
Next show is Sunday 27th June. 8pm start.
