I have quite a few CD,s by the Spankers, all are top drawer player,s with a great sense of humor and what is interesting at there live gigs its all acoustic, no Amps, speakers or microphones just play loud in the Vauderville style (just what resonators were invented for!) Guy Forsyth is no longer a regular of the band although he will drop in from time to time, the lineup changes according to who is around but always great. Once you discover the Spankers on youtube look for all the spin off links and make sure the kids are in bed when you play some of the material! Regards Lee

Asylum Street Spankers - I have their first album somewhere. It came out a few years ago. That is Guy Forsyth playing the Tricone.

Hi there !
Looks exactly like a NRP Style 1 Tricone to me.
Here they are playing one of my most favourite Tampa Red tunes - with Guy Forsyth playing one of the earliest NRP Duolian/Delphis :
Shame he doesn't play slide on it because it is a LOVELY minor blues for playing slide on. Still, he has NAILED the chord voicings of the song though. Excellent !
