Hi there ! Anyone in Australia tried this out ? cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=250319401266Its a 5 watt valve amp switchable from the pentode thingy to 1.9 watts in triode configuration. Its even got an attenuator to the speaker, so you can run the amp hot but at lower volumes. Got Gain, Volume and Tone controls. Only 6.5" speaker though. Much more features than any other tiny valve amp. Anyone tried it ? I'm looking for a good amp to mic up at gigs (using our new Bose L1 system) instead of a louder amp (don't want the stage volume loud as I'm playing with an acoustic guitarist). My Fender (Hot Rod series) Blues Jnr and Pro Jnr (both 15 watts) are too loud by the time I dial in the crunch tone and depth/fatness I need, that I can't get at lower volumes.

This sounds great. My Valve Jnr with mods is too loud for home use, and even at gigs I have never used it on full volume.
There is also something called the Blackheart Killer Ant, which is a 1/2 watt valve amp, capable of driving a 4 x 12 apparently. Theres a few YouTube clips of it in action.
BlackHeart also do a 5 watter with switchable output.
