Hello!
I am on the lookout for a lap steel that would suit a Hawaiian/swing repertoire (C6 tuning). Preference towards a shorter scale length. A 6 or 8 string are both fine
Based in the North East and willing to travel within reason/consider delivery

Appreciate the suggestion! I made a post in the UK forum already but should give the US one a try too. Not too many knocking about in the UK so may have to bite the bullet and import one.

I have a couple of lap steel bodies I made a few years ago, if you are handy with a screwdriver and have a some spare parts around you can have one for the postage ( probably under £10) Will post a pic Alternatively I could put a pickup,m/heads controls etc on it . But it would then be £90+ p&g, so £100

Hi
I've got an Eastwood Airline that I don't play. It's the bright yellow one (https://eastwoodguitars.co.uk/collections/lap-steels/products/airline-lap-steel?variant=33005448953941). It's virtually as new as I've hardly played it. It's currently tuned to open E but it could easily be restrung back to C6 as that's how it's strung. I'm in Derbyshire so that may be too far to travel.

Hi to sbrennan. Razorbill has got the one in the earlier pic. The other one is less finished , happy for you to have it if you still want it. There was some chipping around the head so a little filler was used and a coat of spry paint to seal the end grain. It’s built for a short 22 1/2” scale and for cast type m/heads (3/8” holes) I also made this as a possible left handed model, but I don’t think the shape should be a problem. Pete
