Hi all thanks for the book advice ordered one up yesterday looking forward to reading it
so I was wondering what the difference was between the MM Blues 28 and the 36 I’m really enjoying learning to play my MM Blues and was thinking of adding a wooden bodied Reso to my slowly growing stable of instruments thanks all

Hi Gary A suggestion maybe you could ask if there are any MM Guitar owners near you and ask if you can have a shot at playing. regards Steve IOM

Hi all thanks for the book advice ordered one up yesterday looking forward to reading it so I was wondering what the difference was between the MM Blues 28 and the 36 I’m really enjoying learning to play my MM Blues and was thinking of adding a wooden bodied Reso to my slowly growing stable of instruments thanks all Hello Gary, The two guitars are almost identical in build and structure, except that the '28 is a 12 fret guitar and the '36 is a 14 fret guitar. The '28 came first and is a pretty close copy of a 1928 National Triolian and it is a great sounding instrument. So when I decided to go down the 14 fret route, I stuck to that same design with a few differences to make it work as a 14 fret guitar. Both are really good guitars and both are successful models for me. They are loud and have a sweetness that rarely comes with steel or brass bodied National-style instruments. They are easy to play because the wood body and the design of the necks creates a light-touch instrument. They are both beautiful guitars to play, but for reasons that even I can't explain, '36 is particularly light and easy to play. I hope that is helpful information. If you have any questions, please ask me as I am always happy to help and advise, if I can. One more thought on the subject.... I remember that you have a 14 fret MM Blues, so it would probably be wise for you to have a 14 fret '36 model. Shine On Michael

Thanks for the info really appreciate it I do find the 14 fret a bit easier to play and I must say it’s a pleasure to pick it up so I reckon I’ll be in the market for one in the new year
I’ve just joined Philip Henry’s play slide in 90 days and I must say so far so good really well put together lesson plan so between your dvd and Philip Henry’s guidance I should be on my way to playing in the local jam session soon enough
thanks again Gary

My pleasure, Gary.
Just keep playing and learning from wherever it comes in from and you'll get there.
