1941 National 14 fret neck serial # 1696 G. I bought a neck it was a square neck someone carved down to round neck. Wondering what it came off of. Seller said he though maybe a Colligian but not sure. Still has the little brass plate with serial # .Thought of putting on my1941 M3 Tricone that has wooden square neck. The square neck on the M3 is pretty small I lowered the saddle and made a new nut and it plays ok as a round neck as is though.

The G series serial number list shows two other square necks very close to 1696 and both are square neck Collegians so I should think your guess is probably correct
