Selling my 1993 Continental tricone has signed label inside by Hanns Graf and serial #. This is one of the first ones. I believe it's German silver. Other people that looked at it said the same. This has the screw in the back but small block removed. Perfect strait neck great neck angle great action plays easy for finger style or slide. Has some patina but great over all condition. Sounds wonderful. Only selling cause I bought a 1928 National tricone. Hard to tell the differance in sound When playing and comparing them. These are the closest thing to a prewar National Much better then the newer national Resophonics. $1500.00 USD plus shipping .in California. USA but will ship insured . Contact me for photos or look at it on Craigslist San Francisco.

Hello Tricone, just to help you to see more clearly what you had here; if the serial number begin with 93, and if you see a screw on the back near the neck heel, this guitar is not made of the legendary "german silver". I've got one and see a few of this production year. It's a brass body, but brass is very nice too. I had to work on the neck angle, so there's no doubt when you see inside. Many wrong written adverts, and many sellers persued themselves to have "the real deal", because german silver seems more desirable, and spreading false infos on the web (even from a vintage dealer well renowned, that's funny). All that build some kind of legend around this brand. But it's a very nice instrument, I love mine.
And historicaly speaking, they are the first attempt to recreate the triplate; that's cool.
