This guitar has been a good friend over the years, but I’ve since found a similar guitar that suits me a little better which I am having to pay off and I can’t justify having both, so it’s time to move this one on It’s a 1967 Gibson J-50, classic guitar, mahogany back and sides, spruce top, same as the J-45’s just with a natural top, being ‘67 it has the 1 9/16” nut width which I find very comfortable, The action is good at 3/32” at the 12th fret, it sounds great. This is a players grade guitar, as the price suggests, it’s had a few top repairs over the years, repaired cracks, spruce patch under bridge (not visible), has some typical bridge belly, the bridge and plate have been switched from the adjustable bridge and plywood bridge plate to a solid bridge plate and fixed saddle, very well done and the result is an incredible sounding guitar, it always keeps in tune and has never shifted. Aside from bridge work, all else is original, including the tuners, nut and frets, all finish is original too It is what it is, a good guitar, it records like a dream, it’s got a plugged end jack hole so it can be drilled out for a pickup without committing any new sins I haven’t a case for it, the original case is long long gone and I just carry everything in my Calton so if you want it, remember to bring a case with you! £2,200 I am selling this guitar as I need to fund another, so no straight trades please but if you’d like to do a part exchange I can possibly make that work I am based in North Shields, about 15 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne, any questions let me know
