just trying to keep up here... is that the wood bodied ones were talking about here, at pocklington? if not MM - I am off to India to stay a while early 2013. be happy to take a less than perfect one as the climate / heat may take its toll on it as it is!

No, the wood-bodied MMs are sadly not around yet, it was all metal stuff at Pocklington! .....but there might be one in Mumbai in February, as I will be playing there.

thanks michael. I'lll be in bangalore from end march for a wee while so need to acquire before then (I currently play slide on a battered old Fylde or Harmony acoustic - no reso cones currently reside in my home!). I've always wanted to learn indian style on slide but never had the time; now I've no excuse! any tips re the best teaching methods? I usually just listen and "work it out" but this may be more challenging! (sorry aware I may be drifting into a different forum)

Hi Johnnybees, Rather than talking on this MM Guitars thread, if you start up a new thread in TALKING BLUES about learning Indian slide guitar, we can talk there. See you on Talking Blues... Shine On Michael

I've just received my MM Blues. I had to wait for almost SIX months - which is a very long time definitely, but I understand that the production process and the shipping involve more time than with most other brands. The guitar looks really nice, the sharp f-holes are so cool, and the tone is great, although I've played it only for a few minutes yet. And the volume... is incredible! I asked Robin to install 016-056 strings and a medium-high action... with such setup this is gonna be a killer slide machine! I will post questions and requests as soon as I get more familiar with this little beauty.

It is VERY GOOD NEWS!
I am very happy to announce that we have a test-sample-prototype wood-bodied MM guitar that is ready for production!
It has taken Robin and I a long time to get this new model up and running, but it has all been worthwhile, as we now have a beautiful guitar that sounds and looks fantastic, and is the perfect addition to the MM range of resophonic guitars.
We will be placing an order for the first shipment of these new guitars next week and with manufacture and shipping time we should have a delivery date of sometime in early April..... ;D
I will post some photos of the prototype over the next few days.
Thank you to everyone who has been interested in this new model.
Shine On Michael.
