Sure is quiet around here lately. I guess the recipients of their new guitars are busy pickin'- always a better use of time than talking about pickin' on guitar forums! Hope all are enjoying their new instruments. The rest of us wait anxiously...

Just picked my MM 28 (No. 16) up yesterday from Robin in Wales. A drive of 345.1 miles - and worth every inch! Spent yesterday evening and most of today pickin'. It's just a fab guitar, with a great tone and incredible volume...
Thanks to Robin for doing a fine job on the set-up, excellent coffee and the brief but effective clawhammer banjo lesson!
Cheerily,
Gerry C

Congrats, Gerry! Mine should be headed for the workbench soon. MM '28 owners, post your thoughts, and tracks/video, if you feel so inclined! What tunes are you playing on these beauties?

Aaaaaaaaaargh! This is agony! I'm pacing up and down like an expectant father from central casting in a maternity wing corridor.
So if you're currently enjoying number 16 Gerry C, and TN Pat you were 6 back when I was 8 back and Simon you were last or thereabouts, and there were only a small number in the batch then???
Aaaaaaargh! *Goes back to pacing up an down in comedy B movie style*

I feel your pain, Quarterquay! Robin said perhaps a week and a half before mine sees the bench, and that was 3 1/2 weeks ago. Things come up, though, understandably. Still, I too feel like the father in the waiting room! (Great analogy)! I live in the States. I just hope I get it before Xmas or the money runs out. I am a starving artist, and am not being excessively poetic!

Starving artist? Then I feel your pain too TN Pat, so am I! Since I'm closer than you to Busker Base Camp I'm glad I'm after you in the queue since it won't take as long transport wise for mine to arrive, I'm only across the Irish Sea from Wales. Otherwise ye gawds man I'd have swapped places with you to get a 28 on Santa's sleigh for you before Christmas. Fingers crossed it'll be there for you by then anyway!

Well. My MM28 arrived on Friday but not had much of a chance to play it since then due to my band playing a gig and folks staying over the weekend. They were treated to an impromptu blues session on it this morning. Folks it is worth the wait it is a Beautiful sweet sounding thing, a perfect companion to my MM Lightning. Thank you Michael and Robin for seeking perfection in build and quality set up for such good value. Think Ill do a double photo like Gerry and Robert on Facebook looking forward to the YouTube clips now. I'd do one but I've no idea how to go about it Cheers Geoff

Beautiful! I'm sure I don't need to tell you guitar geeks, but a wall is a dangerous place to keep guitars hanging in the Wintertime. Of course resophonics are a bit more resilient than flat tops, but keep the room humidified if they spend a lot of time up there! Cool walls, rising heat, and dry air can be a deadly combo! Thanks for sharing the photos!

Don't know, maybe a numbering used as with the old Nationals, to keep the tradition alive....
