RIP Gordon Lightfoot. Fellow Canadian, great songwriter. Even when I blocked out everything that was not blues and rock music his lyrics got through to me. Liked him more and more as the years went by. RIP Gordy 👏

Sad news indeed. Gordon Lightfoot was not an artist I know much about, apart from one or two songs. My loss I guess.
Gordon Lightfoot >RIP ---------------------------
Maybe someone could post an obituary

Wearing my shirt from when I saw him at Massey Hall in November 2021... at the time I was hoping it wasn't going to be the last time I saw him. Growing up in southern Ontario in the 1970s and 80s his music was ubiquitous. In Grade 6 our class learned the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its sinking.

disclaimer--TASTES DIFFER, please don't kill the messenger.
my tastes say it is pretty hard to disagree with his greatest hits album:
among just those i would single out [in the same order as on album cover]. 1, 3, [mentioned above> 10, 11, 12,13, 15, 17, 18. 19, 20 and 22.
just my favorites, really feel you may be amiss to not hear the complete album. i don't consider any of them less than good.
