Nice show and they're playing really well.
I liked ZZ Top when I first heard them in around 1972 or thereabouts. I bought Rio Grande Mud and Tres Hombres and listened and learnt from those records, but then when they started to become mega stars and dressed the whole thing up, I stopped being interested. I wish I had their record sales and I have much admiration for their success, but it no longer appealed to me. I see them very much like an American equivalent to Status Quo with a very commercial sound, style and look that appealed to millions of people. I have never met Billy Gibbons, but I have friends that know him and by all accounts he is lovely person to be around.

agreed.
got kinda glitzy on "Fandango". but would say he next effort "Tejas" had some good tunes included and is worth a listen.
loved the ZZ costumes worn by TV program members, and applaud the band's ability to laugh along with the public.
