listen to these and see which ones are more appealing to your ears.
music tastes are very subjective at best. it shouldn't have any bearing on your preferences what others may like, and i think that is how it should be. that said, i know classical music isn't universally loved, but the below is good Sunday background music. try it out?
[imagine somebody trying to tell you which guitar is best. if everyone agrees, will there ever be any improvements made in their manufacture afterward?]
given that it is not easy to showcase virtuosity without an artist tending to overplay a tune into it becoming less desirable, i would rather hear a tune i like played well than the same one amazingly over-played. more clearly, listen to tunes 11 and 12, same instrument and artist but i much prefer 12's less note intensive sound. too many notes in too little space can somehow bury the melody for me. still, i loved watching the strings vibrate in those two tunes.
there is also a good study into the sonic traits of different wood choices, if you pay close attention.
disclaimer-- narrowing my choices down to 25% of the uploaded clips does not/is not trying to imply i could do any of them as well. even if i practiced as much as they do...
i like #5, Andrea Gonzales Caballero, even though nearly too many notes for my taste.
i like #6, Duo Barlotta Eigelman, but feel it unfair to compare an orange to oranges.
i like #7, Andre Ferreira, pleasing tune and not too busy.
what say ye?
