Tom Verlaine. One of my absolute favourite guitarists and frontmen/songwriters.
This track is timeless and beautiful.
R.I.P. Tom Verlaine

Sad news today that Tom Verlaine has died. Tom was a great artist and Television made some wonderful records. I don't have any of his music in my collection, but via an old friend that is also no longer around I heard a lot of Television's music. I always liked the influences that came together in his work, from the Rolling Stones and the Yardbirds, to Velvet Underground, Lou Reed and his friend, Patti Smith. (As a side note - I met Patti Smith a few years ago, she is a wonderful and creative soul) Tom Verlaine >RIP ---------------------------- Shine On Michael

Very sad to learn of this.
I saw him several times both with Television and solo and can still remember the performance I saw in the early 2000's with Television. It was in a NYC venue with multiple floors and people packed the floors front to back, lined the staircases, stood together in complete silence bathed in the sound.

Have to admit I've not listened to his solo work, and Adventure maybe only once or twice, but the Marquee Moon record is great from start to finish. Such a distinctive atmosphere, a unique record. Thank you Tom Verlaine.
