If you have ever had to refret a bound finger board you will probably have ( or wish you had ) some fret end cutters. Without them a small notch has to be filed at the end of every fret. I bought some about 30 years ago from StewMac ( at that time they were the best stocked guitar repair/parts company) and even though they were in the States an order could get to me after 3-4 days. Sadly my cutter broke (after some years and a lot of fretting ) so I mended them with a brass ‘ring’ and they just about worked . I then noticed that StewMac have a lifetime guarantee on tool, I wrote off and 2weeks later a new deluxe set of fret end cutters arrived. StewMac aren’t always the cheapest, but you can’t beat this for service! Pete

Hi Pete !
Stewmac are great.
I bought a set of Waverly 3-on-a-plate tuners (circa 19yrs ago) for a baritone neck Dave King was making for me, for a National Triolian, one that originally would have had a bakelite neck. After maybe a year or two, I felt the tuners were slipping too easily on the posts. I emailed Stewmac, and they sent me a tool (for free) to tighten the screw that holds the uprights, that holds the moving parts in place. After a month or so, I felt that the tuners were still not working well. So, I sent the tuners back - and they sent me a replacement set of tuners - which were much better. No hassle or difficulties - they wanted me to be happy.
