Hi everybody. This is my first post. I've been a huge fan of Delta blues and country blues for over 30 years. I've also been playing the guitar on and off for a long time. I owned a resonator briefly, and was learning to play slide on it, a few years ago, but sold that resonator.
I'm interested in purchasing a Michael Messer Blues, and wrote to Michael Messer through his website "Contact Us page", and also sent him an email. I've no idea if my messages were delivered. It's been about a week since.
Does anybody know of a better way to contact him? I understand that he may be busy. I'm just hoping that he has them in stock.

Welcome to our forum and thank you for your interest in MM Guitars.
I received your email on the 26th November and I will be replying to it this morning.
My apologies for not responding for a few days, but I get so many emails that I just have to reply to only a handful each day. MM Guitars is a very small part-time one-man business and I am a victim of my own success. I am also, as you may be aware, a busy professional musician and that is actually my main occupation. I have just finished recording a new album and therefore have more time again to dedicate to MM Guitars. I have no intentions of expanding the guitar business in any way, although I have had offers to put MM Guitars in every good guitar shop in the world, but at my age and with no interest in becoming a "real" guitar company with an office and staff, that just light doesn't my fire. I work at my own pace and I do my best to keep up with all communications, but I do admit that sometimes I get behind.
Recently it has been very difficult because the continuous lockdown in Shanghai has really screwed everything up. I have now had three false delivery dates for the new shipment and that is due to massive delays at the docks in Shanghai. The shipping company sends me the details and arrival date, and then they realise that my order is not on the ship, it is still at the Shanghai docks.
The good news is that the new shipment of MM Guitars is arriving at Felixstowe docks early next week and will be delivered to my storage place later in the week. It will take a while to check the guitars and setup the ones for customers that have already ordered, but they will all get done and go out to my customers.
No matter how behind I am with orders, or how many we have to fulfil, my luthier does not rush his way through the guitars. Each one has to go through the full setup and check process. Every guitar is then prepared for my customers and packed for delivery to them by me. I can only do one, maybe two a day and I admit that it is not the fastest system around, but that is the way it works. The guitars have to be right, no matter how much time it takes, or how much it costs. There are no shortcuts.
I have written this for you and anyone else that visits the forum because they are concerned that I may not have seen their emails.

Eagerly awaiting my new guitar Joe Hello Joe, The guitars have finally made it to the UK and are currently awaiting clearance from customs. Once clear of the buraucracy, the delivery company books a delivery to my storage place, and from there we start checking them, setting them up and shipping out to customers. Because of the time of year and that the UK is currently in a very poor state of health with strikes and staffing problems in every corner, it is going to be January before we get up and running with the new shipment.
