Hi again!
Just received my seld-adhesive, fake leather. It’s a bit on the thin side - so I’ll have to experiment with multiple layers, or maybe with the adhesive faux leather on some form of thick card - gotta be something that will bend 90 degrees and curve around the shape of the guitar case. Hmmf ! This might get tricky !!

Use a hair dryer to warm it up and make it a bit flexible?

Hi ,I was wondering if you had heard of mod podge. I've used it to cover plantpots with fabric. It's a sort of paintable glue but comes in different finishes including matte. It is waterproof and seems very durable. I'm not sure if it would work on fake leather but maybe worth looking into , good luck

Hi again ! I think this material looks a decent colour match. It was a bit thin and a bit too light brown, but sticking a few laters together toughens it up and improves the colour match too . Should be much easier repairing the lid IF I remove the hinges and the clasp baseplates from the lid - so I can restore the case lid with the rest of the case out the way. Gotta bend these metal tabs up to pull them off the case lid. Hoping I don’t break the tabs off in the process !!
