Thank you for becoming a part of the MM Guitars family. Even owning a used MM Guitar I welcome you.
Metal bodied National-style guitars do often have this gap under the fretboard. It was not there when I sold the guitar, but sometimes people work on the guitars, or maybe something just moves because metal and wood both react to changes in temperature.
My advice is that if the guitar feels good and sounds good, don’t do anything, just play and enjoy it. If the gap gets bigger, then maybe I can advise you about what to do.
How old is your guitar - what is the serial number?
I hope that is helpful information. Enjoy your day.
Ciao,
Best wishes, MichaelShine On Michael
