I’m off to the Isle of Wight for a few days, any music / jams I should look out for? Last time I went I seem to remember hearing Jimmy Hendrix , the Who and several others, so I have high hopes for some good music this time! Pete  |

I was a little kid living near Southampton at that time. The Nit Nurse came to our primary school to look at our heads because of a local outbreak apparently caused by "the dirty hippies at the Isle of Wight festival". You've got a lot to answer for, Pete.

Though not quite a Blues Free zone the Isle of Wight lacks a Blues band ( I did an interweb search and couldn’t find one) called ‘Wight Blues’ . I am tempted to move back south just to start one!

Pete Pete, The IoW has a buzzing live music scene and among that is lots of blues and roots based music.
