Just been given one of these. Don’t think I will use it much but here is a video, see what you think . Pete
There’s a spring clip that keeps the unit in place. Actually, this player could possibly have used a full size slide, does he use his ring finger to play any notes? But I suppose he could have......

Looks to me that he could have achieved the same result with a slide on his pinky. Yet another gimmick looking for a home.

Think I'll stick with Der Flaschen Meisters creations, me.

It could be useful for fingerstyle guitarists - I could see somebody like Pierre Bensusan using one.

Not much slide going on there.

Not much slide going on there. Having such a small slide does make you favour your fingers. As I think I mentioned, the player does not use his ring finger much ( at all?) so a full slide would have worked just as well in this case. It is also very small and I have already misplaced it, so you won’t be seeing me with one any time soon. Pete

Looks like a knuckle duster or a serviette holder, not a slide.

It may not be to our tastes but, surely, the point is, it suits that piece of music and it sounds great for that player.
He wouldn’t be able to play all the fiddly bits with a full size, “normal” slide?

While I appreciate and understand what you are saying, I find the title of the video "Taking Slide Guitar to the NEXT LEVEL" somewhat pretentious and naive, especially as I think it is the musician that has titled the video and not the manufacturer. This shows it in a better setting, but Justin is struggling not to crash it against the fretboard and he's a nice player.
Ah well... I guess someone out there will like them.

Looking back through history someone somewhere will buy any gimmick sold and then spend time justifying his mistake. Again, looking at the promos there is nothing that couldn't be achieved by any competent slide player in playing the demo pieces.
