Many of you will have known or have had guitar dealings with Chris. Sadly he passed away last year but at the request of his widow we wanted to get all his recorded music available to hear. You’ll find all six of his albums (mostly recorded in 2008) on this bandcamp link… washboardchrissteinhauer.bandcamp.com/Unfortunately, the now old blue copy-disc CD’s were in some cases part corrupted so I’ve had months of fun using different systems to try and revive as many tracks as possible. Hence one album here only being seven tracks - I couldn’t get more from the CD. I know there are more physical copies (that I’ll get when collecting another guitar from his widow soon) so can try and fill the gaps later from other copies. In the meantime it’s an astonishingly wide range of material across six discs with lots of Leon Redbone, Stefan Grossman, Mississippi John Hurt and Blind Boy Fuller inspired music from a lovely chap that had made music his living for decades especially in the east of England. It’s been a pleasure to get this ready and share it with the blues community. I hope it’s of interest to many of you that knew him. 🎵🎵🎵🎵
