Hi tommo. Never seen them before, being completely bereft of any willpower I've just ordered three! As I often say to the missus 'I don't have many pleasures in life'. The bruising should fade soon. I'll let you know what I think of them.
Best wishes to you all, John

Out of interest I made something similar myself, as I'm sure many of you have. I had some lovely picks my daughter had made for me as a present. I am only 'playing ' fingerstyle so not wanting to waste them I converted one into a thumb pick and used others to decorate various headstocks. It works well although I do use it in thumb pick mode most often.

I always use Herco Heavy or Extra Heavy so it will be interesting to see how they compare

WOW, they've arrived already! Talk about instant gratification. Ordered mine from String Slingers eBay shop. A few pennies more but free delivery. Well made, nice solid feel. Comfortable to wear, don't grip to tightly but don't move around. Basically they're a good quality beveled pick mounted on a thumb pick base. The difference being it's spring loaded so infinite sizing possibilities. I like mine, I have been using Pro Pick and these are quite different in pick size and fitting. Worth a try if you haven't found just the thumb pick you're looking for.
Best wishes to you all, John

I had a brief period using the below, worked well enough but slowly went back to normal pick and two fingers. Can't do four note pull chords though, never trained that little finger. www.strum-n-comfort.com/ Another transitory adventure with these www.wegenpicks.com/A passing thought was becoming reliant on them and the supply drying up. Just checking my pick repository to see what else is there. Cheers

Been playing with it for a couple of days, its ok but will only last as long as the spring and is it worth 3 times the price of the Herco? On reflection the Emperor hasn't really bought any new clothes

Hi tommo. I've got to like them more. Spring seems fine to me. Good fit and comfortable, I forget I've got them on. Not using them in pick mode though, I'm to used to finger picking I s'pose!
Best wishes to you all, John

I usually use bare thumb/fingers but I've been using a black mountain thumbpick for a while now and love them. Super comfy and I love the warm tone, most thumb picks i've tried I just haven't liked the sound of but these are the closest i've found to the sound of a bare thumb. Spring hasn't broken yet!

Yeah I tried one for a week or so - started off comfortable enough, but after a while it's not tight enough - me & my sweaty thumbs eh? But a plastic dumlop always stays put.

Yep I can see how that can happen, mine still fits ok but then I probably only use it 30% of the time. The white dunlops are great too and sound very similar, can't go wrong with those!

I’ve been using a couple of the Black Mountain thumb picks for a few months, I tend to rotate them with Dunlop picks depending on how I feel at the time. They feel faster than the Dunlop’s but don’t seem to have the same ‘thump’. Sits comfortable on the thumb and I haven’t noticed the spring loosen on mine.

I have been using Black Mountain thumb picks for months and like them very much. I have had no problem with the spring tension loosening. My first choice was Golden Gate thumb picks which I had been using for years.
