i have been looking at the 12 fret wood body mm guitar, it looks a fine instrument. i am a hobby player, who only uses open d, open dm, and open d6. i am not a collector but appreciate those that do collect vintage instruments, somebodys got to do it.
at the moment i dont have a buiscet cone guitar, my hohner 14 fret round neck dobro copy likes open d6 a lot. my gretsh 12 fret spider wood body likes open d and dminor. all use 15 to 56 mm phospher bronze strings. i use a heavy brass slide and a tungsten carbide slide. i dont play without a slide on my pinky, i lost half inch from the tip of my index finger, the fretboard on the gretsch is a little to narrow making the string spacing a bit tight for my fat finger.
the neck on the mm blues 12 fret looks like it might do, this is the argument ive used on she who must be obeyed. ime sure the tone and volume will be excellent. if the neck and fretboard are as good should i get one before they sell out?
