Well, here are some of my Dobro tenor ukulele: I have of course also the one Dave Flood made me out of the Japanese ash paneling from the Fiddle Fret Shop, and a couple of the smaller body '30s Dobro ukes. The cyclops and the custom one both sound the best, but the neck on the cyclops is the nicest and easiest to play...the one Dave made has an original National uke neck which is narrower. It was one that John had in his parts bin along with the National coverplate and Dobro spider bridge and cone. First day I was in his shop he suggested I have Dave make me a Dobro ukulele--"Uh, wow, sure, but how much?" John thought a minute, talked it over with Dave, and said: "$90.00." The cyclops of course cost me 15 times that some 40 years later.

That's a beauty. I'd wear that around my neck like a piece of jewellery.
