Where’s the cone? I think it looks and sounds pretty cool. I’ll never buy one but I think Fender have a target market in mind, probably the next gen Ed Sheeran-a-likes which it will probably serve well. It’s a whole lotta money and I’m not a fan of all the on board modelling Didn’t they do a Tele version a while back?

The Tele version was hard to get to start with. Tried one out last week (finally) & found the acoustic tone/volume were kinda weak. Didn't try it plugged in...

Yeah Fender had a run of Telesonics if my memory serves me in 80s/90s and the reviews were poor...and the new range well the price will give you a furrowed brow it sure made me wince...

Would have loved this during my looping period. I still occasionally miss my Boomerang looper and Sidecar setup. Sadly it was just too hard to keep my looping chops up given how often I play live. Need to be right on it, nowhere to hide.
Getting feedback problems as the loops build and then recording that into the loop is not fun....this guitar might prevent that. Not much is resonating.
Also looping puts some serious restrictions on structure, fixes the tempo etc etc. Much more fun to have one guitar, one voice and maybe a porchboard.
Anyway, horses for courses!

Having said that....isn’t there something fundamentally wrong with a guitar with a USB output?

^^^AGREE, completely. Still, most of all the music we hear now has a USB port somewheres in/on it.
Have an obscure* Guild GX model electoustic from about 1990. body and cavity are milled from single solid piece tele profile body. < 2” body depth. X braced spruce top. Under-bridge transducer. Bolt on maple neck with Gibson scale (?) and tele inspired head. [tele-gumby?]
This from ~before~ Fender bought'em out mid 1990's?
With light gauge bronze acoustic strings its amazing sonic qualities defy belief from that package size. Close mic-ed it is hard to tell my D 40C and this apart. Honestly.
Plugged in with period correct OEM piezo it sounds as natural as the list of preservatives on a soft drink can.
Love strat contour comfort. Still, MY ears need to hear this amplified,
just a demo.
