Were any of the '30's National 12-fret Triolians made with rolled 'f' holes? Michael, did you do a version of your MM guitar with the walnut paint scheme, or only in the blue burst? Did the MM Lightning have rolled 'f' holes? Thanks,

Hi Resotonic,
There were 12 fret Triolians with rolled F holes made in 1933 and '34.
I have never done an MM Blues guitar with a walnut paint finish, only variations of greys and blue-greys. There has never been an MM Lightning with rolled F holes, but there were one or two early prototype MM guitars with rolled F holes.
Before I got involved with the Shanghai resonator world back in 2008, all of their F holes were rolled. It was me that brought long flat-cut F holes into the Shanghai resonator network. These days, all Shanghai long flat-cut F holes are made using my dies. Once at the body factory that manufactures all brands of Shanghai resonator guitars, my F holes went viral!!!!
I hope that answers your question.
Shine On Michael.

. my F holes went viral!!!! Shine On Michael. Get well soon. Pete Busker Guitars (now no longer produced) did both styles of F hole on a 12 fret body , very like an un-sandblasted Lightening .

That is correct, but they were my F holes. Running two companies under one roof was not a great idea. Shine On Michael.

Hi there,
I had a Polychrome Triolian 12-fret, rolled F-holes National. Rarer than 12-fret Duolians, Walnut sunburst Triolians ans Style O’s. B-finish duco Triolians might be the only rarer rolled F-hole 12-fretters ? Not sure
