Can someone post a pic of Howling Wolf with a Firebird, that is even more unlikely . Buddy Guy used Guilds for a while and often played with Muddy, they could have had a deal? Pete

I have always loved this film, with a rather drunk Mr Son House in the audience. Somewhat bittersweet, but none the less, beautiful Shine On Michael

I never get tired of that one. There's several uploads of it. Chester was one of the few that could carry off a Firebird. Good call on that one MM, I'm no blues fascist but it's important not to let it slip from the collective memory.

There are many photos of Muddy playing the Guild NS S200 around that time. I think the Electric Mud and After The Rain sessions feature that guitar Shine On Michael

Hi there !
I remember buying the “Devil Got My Woman” (that included THAT Howlin’ Wolf footage) and the “The Blues According To Lightnin’ Hopkins” VHS video tapes, way back in October 1996, in New Orleans. When I watched the video for the first time, where I was staying there, and Howlin’ Wolf came on, having never seen anything of him live beforehand, I thought I was gonna wet myself quite literally, such was excitement of the occasion and the power of his voice ..... and everything !! When I got back to the UK, I found the NTSC tape wouldn’t play on UK PAL tape players, so I had to buy a new VHS player specifically for these tapes (one that could play both PAL and NTSC versions of VHS tapes). Had a few good sessions with one of my older blues friends watching over & over every second of the film !! Ah, those were the days before Youtube !!!!
