Ian Siegal was saying the other night that his pal Jimbo Mathus was brought up by Patton's Daughter( Rosetta) who was his families Nanny and she died 2-3 years ago aged 94 and never ever heard her fathers music as he was a devote church attending christian. Interview here mentions Rosetta bout half way down www.earlyblues.com/Interview%20-%20Jimbo%20Mathus.htm

That is the Jack White compilation that I believe came from Document Records masters. What I like so much about the Revenant album is that the tracks have hardly been touched, they have just used the best 78s they could track down. That is always better than any amount of remastering. I wish he had recorded all his stuff with Vocalion like his 1934 sessions, rather than for Paramount with their notoriously bad sound, which was who he recorded the bulk of his repertoire for. Shine on Michael
