There is a guitar being offered for sale here on kijiji, with serial #1537P; it's being sold as a Duolian, but I think the pic shows a 12-fret Triolian. Would this be a '32? The finish has been removed & I can't paste a pic... Thanks!

Yes, 1537P is ( or was!) a yellow painted Triolian , originally with black palm trees and a red sun on the back. It does indeed date to the beginning of 1932 or possibly the end of 1931. If the guitar has been stripped to its steel body, there should still be a remaining Triolian decal perhaps? Perhaps the best indicator is the white binding on the neck. Duolians did not have this binding

Thank you, Mark. Yes, what's left of the decal barely reads 'Triolian' & the neck binding is white. The seller has changed the listing to indicate a Triolian rather than Duolian.
